Matthew 23:1 (마태복음)	Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:
	이에 예수께서 무리와 제자들에게 말씀하여 이르시되
Matthew 23:2 (마태복음)	"The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat.
	서기관들과 바리새인들이 모세의 자리에 앉았으니
Matthew 23:3 (마태복음)	So you must obey them and do everything they tell you.   But you do not what they do, for they do not pratice what they   preach
	그러므로 무엇이든지 그들이 말하는 바는 행하고 지키되 그들이 하는 행위는   본받지 말라 그들은 말만 하고 행하지 아니하며   ● preach〔〕설교하다.전도하다. *preach on the 12 Apostles *preach to heathens 이교도에게 설교하다 *He preached (to us) on the importance of good health *preach the Gospel 복음을 전하다
Matthew 23:4 (마태복음)	They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders,   but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
	또 무거운 짐을 묶어 사람의 어깨에 지우되 자기는 이것을 한 손가락으로도   움직이려 하지 아니하며   ● willing〔〕기꺼이...하는.즐거이 ...하는 *I am quite willing to do anything for you --be ready to do는 [언제든지 곧--하다]의 뜻이지만, be willing to do는 [사실은 ...하고 싶지않지만..하다] 또는[ ...해도 상관없다]는 듯을 포함한다.
Matthew 23:5 (마태복음)	"Everything they do is done for men to see:   they make their phylacteries wide and the tasels on their garments   long;

Matthew 23:7 (마태복음)	they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call   them 'Rabbi.'

Matthew 23:8 (마태복음)	"But you are not to be called 'Rabbi,'   for you have only one Master and you are all brothers.
	그러나 너희는 랍비라 칭함을 받지 말라   너희 선생은 나요 너희는 다 형제니라
Matthew 23:9 (마태복음)	And do not call anyone on earth 'father,'   for you have only one Father, and he is in heaven.
	땅에 있는 자를 아버지라 하지 말라   너희의 아버지는 한 분이시니 곧 하늘에 계신 이시니라
Matthew 23:10 (마태복음)	Nor are you to be called 'teacher,'   for you have one Teacher, the Christ.
	또한 지도자라 칭함을 받지 말라   너희의 지도자는 한 분이시니 곧 그리스도시니라
Matthew 23:11 (마태복음)	The greatest among you will be your servant.
	너희 중에 큰 자는 너희를 섬기는 자가 되어야 하리라
Matthew 23:12 (마태복음)	for whoever exalts himself will be humbled,   and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Matthew 23:13 (마태복음)	"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!   You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces.   You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are   trying to.

Matthew 23:17 (마태복음)	You blind fools! which is greater:   the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred?

Matthew 23:18 (마태복음)	You also say,   'If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing,;   but if anyone swears by the gift on it, he is bound by his oath.'

Matthew 23:19 (마태복음)	You blind men!  Which is greater:   the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?
	맹인들이여 어느 것이 크냐   그 예물이냐 그 예물을 거룩하게 하는 제단이냐
Matthew 23:20 (마태복음)	Therefore, he who swears by the altar   swears by it and by everything on it.
	그러므로 제단으로 맹세하는 자는   제단과 그 위에 있는 모든 것으로 맹세함 이요
Matthew 23:21 (마태복음)	And he who swears by the temple   swears by it and by one who dwells in it.

Matthew 23:22 (마태복음)	And he who swears by the heaven   swears by God's throne and by the one who sits on it.
	또 하늘로 맹세하는 자는   하나님의 보좌와 그 위에 앉으신 이로 맹세함이니라
Matthew 23:23 (마태복음)	"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!   You give a tenth of your spices - mint, dill and cummin.   But you have neglected the more important matters of the law   - justice, mercy and faithfulness.   You should have practiced the latter,without neglecting the former.

Matthew 23:24 (마태복음)	You blind guides!   You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.

Matthew 23:25 (마태복음)	"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!   You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full   of greed and self-indulgence.
	●화 있을진저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이이여   잔과 대접의 겉은 깨끗이 하되   그 안에는 탐욕과 방탕으로 가득하게 하는도다   ● greed〔〕탐욕.욕심 *greed for money 금전욕 ● indulgence〔〕방종.탐욕.빠짐(self-indulgence)
Matthew 23:26 (마태복음)	Blind Pharisee!   First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside   also will be clean.
	눈 먼 바리새인들이여   너는 먼저 안을 깨끗이 하라 그리하면 겉도 깨끗하리라
Matthew 23:27 (마태복음)	"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!   You are like white-washed tombs,    which look beautifl on the outside but on the inside are full of   dead men's bones and everything unclean.
	●화 있을진저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이여   회칠한 무덤같으니 겉으로는 아름답게 보이나   그 안에는 죽은 사람의 뼈와 모든 더러운 것이 가득하도다
Matthew 23:28 (마태복음)	In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous   but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

Matthew 23:29 (마태복음)	"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!   You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the   righteous.
	●화 있을진저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이여   너희는 선지자들의 무덤을 만들고 의인들의 비석을 꾸미며 이르되   ● grave〔〕무덤.묘석.죽음.종말 *as silent(quite.secret) as the grave 무덤과 같이 말없는(절대로 비밀인) *beyond the grave 내세에서 *dig one's own grave 스스로 무덤을 파다.자멸하다 *on this side of the grave 이승에서
Matthew 23:30 (마태복음)	And you say, 'If we had lived in the days of our forefathers,   we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of   the prophets.'

Matthew 23:32 (마태복음)	Fill up, then, the measure of the sin of your forefathers!

Matthew 23:33 (마태복음)	"You sankes! You brood of vipers!   How will you escape being condemned to hell?

Matthew 23:34 (마태복음)	Therefore I am sending you the prophets and wise men and   teachers.   Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your   synagogues and pursue from town to town.
