That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. |

Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. |

Matthew 13:3 (마태복음) |
Then he told them many things in parables, saying:
"A farmer went out to sow his seed, |

예수께서 비유로 여러 가지를 그들에게 말씀하여 이르시되
씨를 뿌리는 자가 뿌리러 나가서

As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. |

Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. |

But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. |

해가 돋은 후에 타서 뿌리가 없으므로 말랐고

Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. |

더러는 가시떨기 위에 덜어지매 가시가 자라서 기운을 막았고

Stil other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop _ a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. |

더러는 좋은 땅에 덜어지매 어떤 것은 백 배, 어떤 것은 육십 배, 어떤 것은 삼십 배의 결실을 하였느니라

The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?" |

Matthew 13:11 (마태복음) |
He replied,
"The knowledge of the secretes of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. |

대답하여 이르시되
천국의 비밀을 아는 것이 너희에게는 허락되었으나 그들에게는 아니되었나니 | |

Matthew 13:12 (마태복음) |
Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. |

무릇 있는 자는 받아 넉넉하게 되되 없는 자는 그 있는 것도 빼앗기리라

This is why I speak to them in parables:
"Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. |

In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:
"'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; You will be ever seeing but never perceiving. |

이사야의 예언이 그들에게 이루어졌으니 일렀으되
너희가 듣기는 들어도 깨닫지 못할 것이요 보기는 보아도 알지 못하리라

For this people's heart has become calloused. they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.' |

이백성들의 마음이 완악하여져서 그 귀는 둔하고 눈은 감았으니 이는 눈으로 보고 귀로 듣고 마음으로 깨달아 돌이켜 내게 고침을 받을까 두려워함이라
하였느니라

But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your eyes because they hear. |
| 그러나 너희 눈은 봄으로, 너희 귀는 들음으로 복이 있도다 | |

For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. |
|
내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니
많은 선지자와 의인이 너희가 보는 것들을 보고자 하여도 보지 못하였고 너희가 듣는 것들을 듣고자 하여도 듣지 못하였느니라 | |

"Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: |

Matthew 13:19 (마태복음) |
When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path. |

아무나 천국 말씀을 듣고 깨닫지 못할 때는 악한 자가 와서 그 마음에 뿌려진 것을 빼앗나니 이는 곧 길가에 뿌려진 자요

Matthew 13:20 (마태복음) |
The one who received the seed that fell on the rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. |
| 돌밭에 뿌려졌다는 것은 말씀을 듣고 즉시 기쁨으로 받되 | |

Matthew 13:21 (마태복음) |
But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the world, he quickly falls away. |

그 속에 뿌리가 없어 잠시 견디다가 말씀으로 말미암아 환난이나 박해가 일어날 때에는 곧 넘어지는 자요

The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. |

가시떨기에 뿌려졌다는 것은 말씀을 들으나 세상의 염려와 재물의 유혹에 말씀이 막혀 결실하지 못하는 자요

But the one who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown." |

좋은 땅에 뿌려졌다는 것은 말씀을 듣고 깨닫는 자니 결실하여 어떤 것은 백 배, 어떤 것은 육십 배, 어떤 것은 삼십 배가 되느니라
